What a fun session…. I laughed so so hard.  You are amazing Shelby, don’t ever forget that.

I know I know I suck at blogging these days… time to catch up.  Look at this beautiful baby I got to photograph….

I had a tooth pulled last week, and as I sat in the dentists chair I looked around.  The room was filled with portraits, really beautiful ones I thought… you could almost feel the warmth in them.  I was in awe at the little girls smile, the family connection, they were real.  And then I realized *I* took them.  It was in the quiet of that room, me alone with my fear that I could appreciate them again.  It was away from the constant noise, the chatter or rather the fighting of all the small people in my house that I could look at those pictures a little bit differently….

I have always loved to take photos… but in that moment I realized that when I say it is more than that… more than a print it is a tangible memory… well I mean it.

Summer has come and I fear shortly leaving… the garden is growing wildly and I have yet to take a photo of it except on my iphone.  I will never remember next year that I ALWAYS plant things too close if I don’t.

The baby has turned 3, the oldest 14 today… it is flying by.  And I really would like to enjoy it rather than survive it.

School is starting soon, I filled out the zillions of forms today… two in elementary school, one in junior high and *gasp* one going into high school.  Im pretty sure I was in high school not too long ago…..

I really really need to get back to my blog, I miss writing…..

hopefully I will find some time and steal it soon…………

I figured it was time to stop gardening and catch up on my much neglected blog…  Krystyn always makes my job so easy.  Congratulations on your graduation Krystyn may you go far in this world…

One of my favorite blogs Tracy’s Trinkets and Treasures is doing a 360 degree photo link party… I have been wanted to participate but to be honest with 5 kids and a kitchen model half way done…well there is not 360 degrees around me that is clean.  Well, I bit the bullet so to say and took the photos anyway… someday this will be my favorite room in the house.

You really should go check out her blog, that is if you want to feel really really inspired and like there are just not enough hours in the day

some beadbord needs to go up here and be painted my new favorite teal color… I can’t wait!!!  Maybe this weekend if the weather holds…..

I finally finished most of this corner this weekend…. I am loving each little bit of it.  So many memories held up on these shelves.

I still have to figure out what to do on the wall behind the stove…. still not sure…

my curtains are in the washer, and I still need to paint the cutting board….. but since it snowed this morning I am enjoying the light.

Another serious problem area… I love love my old sink (just look around the dirty dishes) but the wall behind and on the side needs something… just not sure what..

Where the table will go and the mess will leave… my o my…….. what a mess….

Living in a house built in the 1860’s has its advantages and disadvantages….. space is a huge issue, lack of closets… but….

the crown molding is beautiful and the possibilities are endless…..

Finally the flowers are blooming and the spring rain is here…. o how I love this time of year.  I love the newness it brings, I really only hate the mud  We have been working hard on a kitchen overhaul so the blog and the laundry and most everything else has gotten forgotten for a bit… my goal is to catch up on all my sessions over the next week or so.  For now, here is some picture overload of my favorite kind… the kind of photos that really are little memories in my storage bank.  I look at them and can almost *feel* the day and hear the laughter.  They always remind me of why I love what I do so much… being a mom and then being a photographer so that I can capture all of this.

May should bring some exciting changes, a mini session announcement and a surprise for seniors!!!!!  Come on Spring!!!!

What beautiful kids and what amazing friends I have made….  this family made me smile, laugh and remember exactly what it is all about.  Thank you so much for spending the afternoon with me….. you are all amazing!

I saw a post on another bloggers blog the other day, who saw it on another bloggers blog………well, you get the gist…. it was a dear _______ post, and I loved it….. little anonymous letters to get the words off your heart.  I loved the idea, I loved that it would take me out of toddlerland to blog

Please be kind and stop destroying everything you touch.  Yes you are wonderful and creative but you are destroying my house and I can’t keep up.  Id like to sew instead of breaking up fights.  Can we try it please for just one day?  Really, the cup drawer is clean………..stop dumping it out.

words are hard sometimes right?

I am trying in the midst of flu/ pneumonia/ etc to remember to blog……. but right now, its behind a WHOLE lot of other things…………….. the kitchen is getting ready for an overhaul, as well as other things we are going to tear into around here….. how fun……… come on spring!!!!!  My calendar is getting booked, this spring I have 5 different states already booked as well as Maui in September……….. whewh!!!!!!!!

I love it, can I have a garden yet?
